CDC sickens some on social media after posting poppy seed muffin PSA, again

In an effort to raise awareness about ticks and Lyme disease, officials with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention posted a picture last year of a lemon poppy seed muffin infested with the parasites.
Backlash to the public service announcement led officials with the agency to apologize for the Twitter post.
Sorry we ticked some of you off! Don't let a tick bite ruin your summer. Protect yourself: https://t.co/zT2cMR2kKW.

So, this year, in an effort to raise awareness, the CDC officials posted the same photo and message, only this time on Facebook.
It led to many of the same responses.
CDC officials also still offer these suggestions for preventing tick bites:
“Conduct a full body check upon return from potentially tick-infested areas, including your own backyard. Use a hand-held or full-length mirror to view all parts of your body.”
