A cashier at an Ohio superstore, Meijer, is being thanked for her holiday kindness after she let a 3-year-old ring up coupons with her.
The cashier, known only as Kristen C., received a social media thank-you from Kimberly Grandinette, who has been experiencing stress at home.
Grandinette's infant son is in the hospital and her 3-year-old isn't handling it well, the mother was telling the cashier.
"Then my three year old asked Kristen if he could help her ring our groceries," Grandinette said in a Facebook post.
The post continues: "She looked at my son and said, 'Certainly' and brought him behind the register with her. She was so patient with him as she let him help her scan the coupons and she made him feel like a million bucks. He skipped out of the store with a smile on his face."
The cashier's act of kindness made the mother and son's day brighter and holidays happier, Grandinette said.
