Several cars were towed as parents lined Pittsburgh street to pick up items from Toys For Tots Friday morning.
“People down here that are needy they can't afford to get things on their own for their kids are now coming out and have a hefty tow bill along with a ticket, "parent Jennifer Taylor said.
Police said the dozens of cars that were towed and ticketed were parked illegally in the area of 29th Street in the city's Strip District.
Some parents said one of the officers on scene misled them.
“They told me I was OK to park where I was, as long as I was not on the curb… then I come out and I'm being towed," Taylor said.
An officer was brought in to help control traffic.
