The capital of Belgium was rocked Tuesday with two terrorists attacks leaving at least 26 dead and more than 130 wounded.
1. What happened?
Two explosions took place on Tuesday morning (8 a.m. local time) at Brussels national airport in Zaventem, and at least one explosion happened in a metro car near Maalbeek station in the city around 9:30 a.m., local time.
2. How many were killed?
Belgian media says at least 34 were killed at latest count.

3. Was ISIS responsible?
The blasts come four days after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam in Brussels. Abdeslam is believed to be the only surviving member of the team of terrorists involved in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that killed 130 people. European security officials said following his arrest that they believed he had been planning a major attack, perhaps in Brussels.
4. What are witnesses saying?
The Belga news agency says witnesses report that shots were fired at the airport prior to the two explosions.
5. Did they catch the terrorists?
A Belgian prosecutor says the explosions were suicide attacks. There has been no report of arrests.
