A woman in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is facing second-degree murder charges after allegedly stabbing her fiance to death when she thought he invited a woman he was having an affair with to their wedding, authorities said.

According to an arrest warrant, Jacequeline Souza, 31, throught her fiance, Brad Watkins, was having an affair and that he wanted to invite the other woman to the couple's Las Vegas nuptials, KKTV reported.

Police said the couple had returned from a night of celebrating their upcoming wedding last Friday when they began fighting about the wedding invitation, according to KKTV.

Neighbors called 911 and when police arrived they found a bleeding, unresponsive Watkins on the kitchen floor and a bloody steak knife on the table, the news station reported.

Watkins later died and Souza, who kept changing her story about what happened, was arrested.

She’s facing a second-degree murder charge and is now out of jail on bond.
