The family believes someone took Jackson, a 3-month-old puppy, from his home on Christmas Eve.

Since then, the Los Angeles-area family has posted fliers with information about the dog.

Bryson also wrote a letter to Santa asking for Jackson to come home.

The two boys also took a picture holding a flierand a sign that reads, "no Christmas until Jackson is home."

"That shows that they're thinking beyond themselves and it's not just a selfish time, Christmas, but it's supposed to be a together time," the boys' father, William Reiter, said.

The family is offering a $2,000 reward and asks anyone with information to call the Riverside Police Department.
