A New Jersey boy melted the hearts of a nation when he saved his allowance for weeks to buy lunch for his local police officers.
William Evertz Jr., 5, used his own money to buy Subway sandwiches for police because he wanted them to eat healthy, WABC reported.

But the story doesn't end there.
To reward him for his kindness, officers paid him back in a big way, or rather with a big set of wheels.
Winslow Township police arrived in the neighborhood in force, and with sirens blaring, to give William his own patrol car complete with matching decals.
Officials explained the reasoning behind the gift to WABC as "A thank you for lunch and being such a great kid."
They posted the gift-giving event to the department's Facebook page.
