A 7-year-old boy was the focus of a dangerous and smelly rescue, that does have a happy ending.
Twincities.com reports, Noah Laehn was playing in the yard at his Minnesota home when he jumped on the lid of a buried septic tank.
The lid popped off, and in went Noah, falling 10 feet into the sludge below. But KMSP reports that luckily the tank had been drained the day before. Instead Noah fell into only about two feet of muck.
Rescue crews brought a ladder, and Noah was able to climb up. Noah, according to KMSP, barely suffered a scratch in the ordeal.
