The company said the money will go to help with living expenses of survivors and help alleviate any financial hardship they may be facing, The Guardian reported.

The aircraft maker is facing dozens of lawsuits following the crash of a Lion Air jet last fall off the coast of Indonesia and another Lion Air crash four months later in Ethiopia.
