Blue Bell Creameries plans to announce Monday which of their ice cream flavors will be the first to return to store shelves.
The company will also begin distribution in select markets Monday.
Ice cream will be released to stores in five phases. The first includes Houston and Austin, Texas, as well as parts of Alabama.
Southern Oklahoma is included in phase two and central Oklahoma in phase three. The rest of Oklahoma won't see the return of Blue Bell ice cream until phase 5.
The Broken Arrow plant is still undergoing upgrades. It is not clear when production will begin at the plant.
