March 23, 2015

First baseman Joey Casselberry was booted from his team at Bloomsburg University following an offensive tweet he posted Friday evening.

Apparently, Casselberry responded on Twitter to the announcement that Mo'ne Davis would be asubject of a Disney Channel movie, "Throw Like Mo."

In the post, Casselberry tweeted "Disney is making a movie about Mo'ne Davis? WHAT A JOKE. That slut got rocked by Nevada."

The Casselberry's account was deactivated shortly after the tweet, but media outlets managed to get a screenshot of the post:

Before the account was deactivated, Casselberry reportedly apologized on Twitter:

"An example that one stupid tweet can ruin someone's life and I couldn't be more sorry about my actions last night. Forgive me and truly understand that I am in no way shape or form a sexist and I am a huge fan of Mo'ne. She was quite an inspiration."

Bloomsburg University also announced via Twitter the dismissal of Casselberry:
