To help mark her milestone, she didn't jump out of an airplane like her husband, former President George H. W. Bush does. She is tackling a problem facing Americans head-on - boosting adult literacy skills, Fox News is reporting.

Bush's foundation is joining forces with Dollar General to launch a $7 million global competition to create an app to boost adult reading through X Prize.

Meanwhile, Bush sat down with her granddaughter, "Today Show" correspondent Jenna Bush Hager, to reflect on her life, including meeting the future president at a school dance when she was 16.
