A mother has been charged with neglect after leaving one of her 18-month-old twins in a hot car for hours, authorities said Tuesday.
Investigators said the baby boy spent several hours in the car at the family's home in Yulee, Fla., before being discovered by his older brother.
The mother, 25-year-old Michelle King, drove her husband to work Tuesday morning, taking the 18-month-old twins and their 6-year-old brother along, investigators said. Authorities said she returned home, grabbed one twin and walked inside, then fell asleep.
The 6-year-old returned to the car four hours later and found his brother, authorities said.
Paramedics rushed the child to UF Health in Jacksonville.
