After 12 boys a Michigan family was due for a girl, right?
Apparently not.
Boy number 13 was born to Kateri Schwandt and her husband Jay, and despite it being their 13th trip to the delivery room, they were still surprised when the little boy entered the world, The Associated Press reported.
They had kept their tradition alive by not finding out boy or girl before delivery day.
Kateri isn't a stranger to large families. She is one of 14 children and says that she finds motherhood to be "very rewarding."
She told The Grand Rapids Press that it didn't matter if it was a boy or a girl.
"If we had a little girl, that would be neat. But I would be just as happy if we had a little boy."
The sons ages range from 22 to 2 before the new addition was added.
