American Music Awards 2019: What time, what channel, who is nominated, performing

Taylor Swift will be honored Sunday as the "artist of the decade" as entertainers from all genres of music come together for the 2019 American Music Awards.

Singer-songwriter Carole King will present the award to Swift, who has sold more than 50 million albums and won 10 Grammys during her career.

The ceremony, to be held in Los Angeles, will feature performances by Camilla Cabello, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Thomas Rhett and others.

The AMAs will celebrate its 45 birthday Sunday. Billboard noted the enduring nature of the show when it reported that Elton John was among the nominees for favorite pop/rock male artist in 1974, the year the awards debuted. This year, 45 years later, he is nominated for tour of the year.

Post Malone tops the list of nominees with seven. Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish each have six nominations. Swift and Lil Nas X are both nominated for five awards.

What time: The show begins at 8 p.m. ET

What channel: ABC is broadcasting the AMAs

Where is it being held: The ceremony will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Who is hosting: Ciara will be hosting the event.

Who is performing: Scheduled to perform are: Camilla Cabello, Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Thomas Rhett and Shania Twain. Look for Taylor Swift to performing a medley of her hits, despite her dispute with Big Machine Records and Scooter Braun. They own the masters of her hits.
