Alligator halts traffic to cross Florida road

An alligator wasn't playing around Tuesday night when it darted into traffic in Lakeland.

Sherese Walker, from Lakeland, recorded video of the gator scurrying across Sleepy Hill Road in Lakeland.

The gator crawled into the median, then turned around and bolted into oncoming traffic.

Drivers saw what was happening and stopped for the reptile.
The alligator eventually went back to a woody area.
