This week Senior Airman Seray Aksoy was finally able to reunite with a friend she made while deployed in Kuwait, a cat named Marcus.

After being separated for months, Aksoy is finally reuniting with her cat.  Marcus was left behind when she returned to the US, so she reached out to SPCA International for help to bring him back too.  The process was long, but Marcus finally landed at the Greater Rochester International Airport earlier this week.

Aksoy says, "he's super important. I mean, to create a bond with an animal there it helps more than you would think. But, being there is tough enough. It was great to have something to look actually look forward to when you went to work every night."

When Marcus finally arrives, her excitement is contagious.

"This is awesome. I'm so happy this is finally happening," she smiles, "I think it's a huge change. He'll definitely be in check for a little bit but I think he's gonna love it."
