An Uber customer is grateful for an honest act from his driver.

Lawyer Rogelio Garcia was picked up by Uber driver Ade Adeleye in Houston Monday. When he got out of the car, he left $703 in a money clip in the vehicle.

"I went to every office in my building here, turned it inside out and then I decided my town home maybe I forgot it," Garcia told KPRC Tuesday.

A woman who got a ride with Adeleye later that day found the cash in the clip and told her driver. The pair counted the money and Adeleye figured out it belonged to Garcia.

“If I can return something as little as $10, why wouldn't I return $700? It’s not mine,” Adeleye  told the news station.

Adeleye gave Garcia a call to let him know about his missing items.

“As Ade answered the phone, he says, ‘I’ve been waiting for you all day. I have your $700 and your really nice clip,’” Garcia said.

Garcia was so moved by the honest act that he shared the story on Twitter.

KPRC reported that the pair met up Tuesday and Garcia insisted on giving Adeleye $100 for his honesty.

“I said, ‘Listen. I need to give you $100.’ He didn’t really want to take it and I wasn’t going to let him leave without taking the $100,” Garcia told KPRC.

Adeleye said that, as an Uber driver, similar things have happened to him before, so giving back the money wasn’t something he had to think twice about.
