A senior prank prompted a school evacuation Tuesday at South Iredell High School in North Carolina, deputies said.
The call came in around 10:30 a.m. for a possible explosive device that was found in a locker, deputies said.
The school resource officer found the device, according to a report.

Officials said the prank device involved alarm clocks and zip ties inside school lockers.
About 1,700 students were evacuated to the bleachers at the football fied.
A bomb-sniffing dog was brought in to help in the investigation.

Troutman Police Chief Matthew Selves said there was a message sent out on social media by the students. The message said bring your alarm clocks.
Selves said they take this hoax very seriously.
Two 18-year-old girls, Shannon Farrell and Lakia Hall, are in custody accused in the prank. The students will face charges of felony of hoax by false bomb in a public building and possibly more charges later, Selves said.
The father of one of the teens accused said it was just a prank.
Multiple Iredell County Sheriff's deputies and firefighters were at the scene.
The school is on Old Mountain Road in Statesville.
