White House spokesman Josh Earnest blasted GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump Tuesday for his “offensive and toxic” plan to bar Muslims from entering the United States. Earnest said Trump’s remarks should disqualify him from the Republican nomination.
And then he went there. To the hair.
Earnest, who has a full head of hair, said to reporters that Trump's campaign has "had a dustbin of history-like quality to it, from the vacuous sloganeering to the outright lies to even the fake hair."
Trump, whose dirty blond, combed-over hair has raised more than a few eyebrows, has repeatedly insisted his hair is real.
When reporters pointed that out to Earnest, the White House spokesman replied, "I guess I'm happy to be fact-checked."
