An 89-year-old World War II veteran was shocked when his custom Trump yard sign was stolen from his lawn.

The sign features a cutout of the comic book superhero Captain America sporting Donald Trump’s face.

Alvin Link told WJBK that "Donald Trump is my Captain America."

Link said the homemade sign took 43 hours to make and had been placed on the front lawn of his house for months, undisturbed.

But that changed Thursday morning, when Link and his wife discovered that someone had stolen his beloved sign.

The proud Navy veteran says he doesn’t know if it was a protester or supporter who stole the sign. He has replaced the sign as police search for suspects.
