The Republicans have set another presidential debate on their 2016 schedule, this one to come two days after President Obama delivers his annual State of the Union Address.
Fox Business Network will sponsor the Jan. 14 event to be held in North Charleston, S.C.
The network also sponsored the last GOP debate, Nov. 10 in Milwaukee. Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus praised the network for its handling of that debate on Twitter after it was over — while taking a shot at CNBC, whose moderators at the previous GOP gathering drew sharp criticism from candidates.
“And that @CNBC is how you run a debate,” Priebus tweeted that day.
The next Republican debate is next week, Dec. 15, in Las Vegas.
Reports Fox Business Network:
“The network’s inaugural debate, which took place in November, smashed FBN ratings records with 13.5 million viewers; 3.7 million of which were in the advertiser friendly demo of persons aged 25-54. FBN moderators, entry criteria and additional debate information will be released closer to the date.”
