A former Republican presidential hopeful on Tuesday said that Americans can expect to see an increase in sexual assaults if Hillary Clinton is voted into the Oval Office.

Former U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota, made the comments during an interview on the American Pastors Network's "Stand In The Gap." A portion of the conversation was posted online Wednesday by Right Wing Watch.

She dismissed a report posted on Monday by The Daily Beast that claimed Trump's candidacy has created a divide between conservative evangelical men and women.

Bachmann told APN President Sam Rohrer that liberals hope to "separate Christian women and appeal to them because Donald Trump made crude, lewd remarks," in reference to a 2005 video in which Trump can be heard speaking in a vulgar way about women with "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush.

She acknowledged that the comments were inappropriate, but said Trump has apologized.

Meanwhile, she warned, "Hillary Clinton will continue the anti-biblical agenda that she has always stood for, whereas Donald Trump has already released a list of only pro-life judges that he will support."

"He will be the best chance we have of defeating Roe v. Wade, and I believe that Hillary Clinton will set a standard in this country that will lead to even more sexual assaults against women, because she will be setting an anti-biblical agenda," she said.

Her comments were made before allegations surfaced that Trump sexually assaulted multiple women. Trump emphatically denied the reports Thursday while speaking to a crowd gathered in West Palm Beach, Florida, and said the Clintons were behind the allegations.

"These attacks are orchestrated by the Clintons and their media allies," Trump said.

He added that he has evidence that the reports are unfounded and promised to release that evidence "at the appropriate time."
