Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice over the weekend joined Republicans calling for Donald Trump to withdraw from the race for the White House after a controversial 2005 recording of the GOP presidential nominee was posted online.

"Enough!" Rice wrote Saturday in a Facebook post. "As a Republican, I hope to support someone who has the dignity and stature to run for the highest office in the greatest democracy on earth."

Trump has faced heavy criticism since the video, which captures a conversation between Trump and "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush on the set of "Days of Our Lives," was obtained by The Washington Post and published Friday. Trump was on set to film a cameo.

Trump has been lambasted for his comments, which appear to fit the Department of Justice's definition of sexual assault.

At a debate Sunday, Trump reiterated an earlier campaign statement that equated the conversation to "locker room banter."
