Republican Donald Trump is president-elect after beating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, but not everyone is happy about the results.

Anti-Trump protesters gathered in Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta, New York, Boston and other cities to make their dissatisfaction heard. Late Wednesday, hundreds of protesters blocked the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles, halting traffic for miles as officers from the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Police Department tried to disperse the crowd. Police in Portland, Oregon, detained several people late Thursday as demonstrators broke windows of businesses and started a Dumpster fire downtown. Police termed it a riot.
