Pet food distributor Sunshine Mills is voluntarily recalling multiple dog food brands over concerns that select products may contain “potentially elevated levels” of aflatoxin, according to the recall notice posted on the Food and Drug Administration website Thursday.

Aflatoxin is a byproduct of mold and can be harmful to pets if consumed in large quantities.

The products being recalled were sold at stores nationwide under the company’s brands Triumph, Evolve, Wild Harvest, Nurture Farms, Pure Being and Elm, according to the notice.

No illnesses have been reported due to these products to date, but pets that have consumed the recalled products and are showing signs of illness should be seen immediately by a veterinarian.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products should “discontinue use of the product and may return the unused portion to the place of purchase for a full refund.” Contact Sunshine Mills customer service at 800-705-2111 or by email at customer.service@sunshinemills.com.
