A 5-year-old died Monday morning in Florida from injuries she received during a freak accident that occurred the night before in South Georgia, according to reports.

According to Blackshear Police Chief Chris Wright, Bella Bennett and her sister were playing on a monument in front of Lee Street Resource Center on Sunday evening when the monument fell on Bella, WMAZ reported.

She suffered severe internal injuries and was rushed to Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross by ambulance before being flown by medical helicopter to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, according to WMAZ.

The child was a kindergartner at Blackshear Elementary, WMAZ reported.
