DeKalb County police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist Friday afternoon on I-20.
The fatal wreck occurred about 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Wesley Chapel Road, snarling traffic for hours during the evening commute. Investigators have not released the motorcyclist’s name or said whether any other vehicles were involved.
All lanes reopened just before 7 p.m., but heavy delays remain, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. Drivers are urged to take Glenwood Avenue to Covington Highway to get around the lingering backups.
