Authorities searching for a missing Cherokee County man locate his abandoned pick-up truck near Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Lieutenant Jay Baker says the vehicle, a 2015 Nissan Frontier with Georgia tags, was left unlocked.  There's no sign of 46-year-old Douglas Michael Shockley.

"Mr. Shockley has still not been located," Lt. Baker tells the Cherokee Tribune.  "He has had no contact with his family; no one has seen him."

Shockley works at Regal Nissan in Roswell but the used car manager never arrived at the dealership Monday morning.  The dealership is offering $10,000 for information leading to his safe return.

At the time he disappeared, Lieutenant Baker says there was no suggestion of foul play.  Anyone with information into Shockley's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
