A missing Bartow County teenager was found safe Wednesday night, not long after an Amber Alert was issued for her.

Amber Katie Harrison, 14, was located late Wednesday and was in custody with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office. Bibb County is located about 120 miles from where the teenager was last seen.

An alert citizen spotted a vehicle the teenager was believed to be traveling and called 911, according to Bartow Sheriff Craig Millsap. Bibb County authorities located the vehicle, a 2014 Range Rover, and the missing girl at an unknown motel in their jurisdiction.

Earlier Wednesday, an alert was issued to help find Amber, who police said was believed to be with a 20-year-old man. It was not known late Wednesday if she was with that man when she was located or if any charges would be filed.
