Milton mayor invites city into his home

Milton Mayor Joe Lockwood has invited all 32,661 residents to his home for a holiday open house Dec. 15.

Lockwood said he thinks it’s a good idea to show residents a sense of inclusiveness in the government they helped create six years ago.

The event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lockwood’s home at 375 Dorris Road. All food and drinks will be donated by the City Council and local businesses. Shuttled parking will be available from Milton High School, 13025 Birmingham Highway. Handicapped parking will be available at the home.
