Mike Luckovich finishes his Round File for June 2019

I thought this idea was gonna work. Those little stick figure family members that some people put on their rear car windows only Trump’s limo has the parents and children separated and caged, but the image was confusing.

This is the one on the subject I ended up doing.

This idea was pretty good, but it led me to an idea I liked better.

That is this one.

I also thought this idea was going to work, but after sketching it out, I thought it was demeaning to the father and daughter that had drowned.

This is the one I ended up doing. Somebody canceled their subscription because of it.

I didn’t do this one because it was too wordy and I saw another cartoon similar to it.

This idea was lacking something.

I’d already done a couple Iran cartoons this week.

I like this Iran cartoon.

This idea was OK, but I came up with a better idea.

This idea was a LITTLE SOPHMORIC.

I liked this idea, but then discovered Brian Kilmeade was actually critical of Trump. Believe it or not.

This is the one I ended up doing.

I liked this cartoon because drawing Trump with toddler stuff on his desk is fun
