Dong Ouk “Joseph” Chung, an eighth grader at Gwinnett County’s Hull Middle School in Suwanee, has been recogized by Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle for winning third place in his division in the 2013 Manufacturing Appreciation Week student design contest. The competition was developed by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and the Georgia Department of Economic Development to recognize the contribution of manufacturing to Georgia’s economy. “We’re so impressed by Joseph and the rest of the students that participated in this competition,” said David McCulloch, vice president of Economic Development at Gwinnett Tech. “It’s great to see students at such a young age take interest in manufacturing in their home communities.”
