Michelle Obama celebrates her 56th birthday
Happy birthday, Michelle Obama!
The former first lady turned 56 Friday.
One of the first gifts she received Friday was from no one other than the 44th president of the United States, who posted a photo montage to Twitter along with the message "Happy birthday, baby!"
"In every scene, you are my star," Barack Obama wrote above four intimate black-and-white photos of he and Michelle hugging, kissing and hamming it up for the camera.

Michelle Obama has not missed a beat since leaving the White House in early 2017.
From fashion to activism, her name is easily spoken as a trendsetter who continues to champion women’s causes and educational priorities around the world.

This week I sat down with @LanaCondor and some #ObamaLeaders to learn more about their work to empower girls in communities across Asia. They're helping to remove barriers that prevent girls from pursuing their dreams, and I can’t wait to see the good that comes from their work. pic.twitter.com/KEBxTA29XP

Last month, she tweeted a message of support to young Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, who after being named Time’s 2019 Person of the Year faced criticism from President Donald Trump.
.@GretaThunberg, don’t let anyone dim your light. Like the girls I’ve met in Vietnam and all over the world, you have so much to offer us all. Ignore the doubters and know that millions of people are cheering you on.
