A man suspected in at least two Bank of America robberies in metro Atlanta was tracked to Augusta and arrested at a motel, authorities said Friday.

Eddie Adonis Garnett, 42, is accused of robbing a Bank of America in Riverdale on Sept. 14 and another Bank of America in Morrow on Aug. 2.

Garnett is also accused of getting away with $5,000 after allegedly robbing a SunTrust Bank in Richmond County. The amounts stolen in the Bank of America holdups were not disclosed.

He was being sought by the Morrow Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service, which wanted him on a federal probation violation for a previous bank robbery conviction.

Garnett was arrested Thursday after authorities found him at a Travel Lodge in Augusta. Police said Garnett had a small amount of cash on him when he surrendered peacefully. He was being held in Richmond County without bond.
