A Fayetteville man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on an Alabama highway Tuesday, officials said.
Marius M. Hillius, 28, was hit by a 1994 Peterbilt truck on I-59 in Etowah County while walking on the interstate, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman Trooper Curtis Summerville said.
The crash occurred about 3:15 a.m., and the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Summerville did not say whether any charges would be filed.
The incident is under investigation.
