A memorial service will be held Saturday for the Cobb hairstylist shot and killed last month in downtown Decatur, allegedly by a man who police say also killed three homeless men.

The service for Karen Pearce will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Due West Methodist Church in Marietta. Her family will receive guests afterwards at True Salon, which is in the nearby Avenue of West Cobb.

Pearce, a hairstylist at the salon, was shot and killed Dec. 6 as she walked to her car following dinner with friends at a downtown Decatur restaurant.

Aeman Presley, 34, was arrested less than a week later after trying to board a MARTA train without paying the fare. Police say a firearm he was carrying matched the gun used to kill Pearce and three homeless men.

Presley, an out-of-work actor, has confessed to killing Pearce, according to police. On Tuesday, he waived a preliminary hearing in Fulton County Superior Court.
