Applications are being accepted from art and craft vendors until 5 p.m. Sept. 11 for Marietta's 39th annual Harvest Square Arts and Crafts Festival.

The festival will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 17 in Glover Park on the Marietta Square.

Booth spaces are $50 for 10 by 10 feet and $100 for 10 by 20 feet with $25 for electricity and/or water and $15 for the late fee.

Checks should be made payable to the City of Marietta.

Applicants will be notified by Sept. 25 if their entries are accepted.

All work must be made and displayed by the artists who must provide their own tables and tents.

The festival is held in conjunction with Halloween Happenings for children from 1 to 5 p.m. and Scarecrows on the Square.

Scarecrows on the Square will include a scarecrow contest, costume contests for children and pets, carnival games and prizes.

Free parking will be available in the Cobb County parking deck on Cherokee Street.

Marietta's Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the festival every year.
