Ten million: That's how many public, geotagged tweets there are every day, roughly, around the world, according to cartographer Eric Fischer. And earlier this month, he mapped them, collecting more than three years of data, all 6,341,973,478 tweets represented as green dots.

That means you can now see where people across Atlanta are tweeting, which becomes an interesting reverse image of the metro area's technological habits.

For example, according to Fischer's work, the bulk of tweets are intown: east of Joseph Lowery Boulevard, west of the Downtown Connector, north of I-20 and south of State Street.

And that's just Atlanta. Fischer's map is specific down to the street -- for the entire world. See the whole thing for yourself here.
