A pedestrian trying to cross Ga. 92 in Cherokee County was struck and killed Friday, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The man, whose name was not released, was not in a crosswalk when he tried to cross the street near Wade Green Road, Sgt. Seth Thompson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Investigators believe the man may have been under the influence of alcohol, Thompson said.
The driver stopped at the scene after hitting the man, Thompson said. No charges are expected to be filed.
