Man struck, killed by train in Bartow County

A man was struck and killed by a train Thursday night in downtown Cartersville, according to police.
The man, whose name was not released, was standing on the railroad tracks near Museum Drive and West Main Street when he was struck, Capt. Mark Camp with the Cartersville Police Department said.
Several streets in the area were temporarily blocked by the train, Camp said.
No further details were available late Thursday.
