A man stabbed to death in northwest Atlanta has been identified as 66-year-old William A. Harris of Atlanta.
About 6:30 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a “person down” call near the intersection of Hollywood and Hightower roads, where they found a man dead from “multiple stab wounds and other trauma throughout his body,” Atlanta police Capt. Paul Guerrucci said.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office on Saturday identified that man as Harris.
Detectives are following up on “significant leads” in his death, Guerrucci said.
“We do believe he’s from this general area,” Guerrucci told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We don’t necessarily believe this was just a random act.”
