A man was shot to death late Sunday in Macon, the sixth homicide in Macon this month.

Gregory Watkins Jr., 27, of Macon was shot several times inside a Chevron just before 10 p.m., according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

No one else was injured.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspected shooter.

Watkins was driven by an unknown person to Coliseum Medical Centers, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.

This is the sixth homicide in Macon in April, and the fourth deadly shooting in a week, according to WMAZ. Those other cases included a man found shot dead on a west Macon sidewalk and another man shot dead outside of a north Macon apartment complex.
