The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office Thursday identified the person shot and killed at a Union City apartment complex Wednesday afternoon as Taquahn Jackson, 18, of Atlanta.
Police were called to the Shannon Chase apartment complex in the 5300 block of Highway 138 around 1 p.m. in response to a report of a person shot, Detective Gloria Hodgson said. There, they found one person dead. A second person on the scene was taken to an area trauma center for treatment.
Hodgson said the case remains under investigation, but authorities currently believe the two shot one another.
Police have not released the identity of the second person involved.
