A Gwinnett County man was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle wreck near Cumming, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck, which involved a pickup truck and a motorized scooter, happened shortly after 6 p.m. on the eastbound side of Ga. 20 at Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Deputy Doug Rainwater said Friday.

Investigators believe Eric Scott Wolff, 42, of Lawrenceville, was driving a 2008 Shanghai Shenke scooter when he turned into the path of a 1984 Ford F-150 truck driven by Abraham Garnica-Pintado, 29, of Cumming. Wolff was pronounced dead Thursday night after being transported to Northside Hospital-Forsyth, Rainwater said.

Ga. 20 was temporarily blocked during the investigation, a sheriff's office spokesman said Thursday night. Lanes reopened around 8 p.m. Several witnesses remained at the scene to provide information to deputies, according to posts on the agency's Facebook page.

The crash remains under investigation.
