The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its Jan. 9 regular meeting to recommend denial of an R-3 (single-family residential) rezoning request for 89 acres at 1496 Millers Mill Road, but recommended instead to approve R-2 with sewer for the site, for which 144 lots are planned.

That total is below the two-units-per-acre threshold for low-density residential, the Future Land Use Map designation for the property. A conditional use request for a conservation subdivision at that site had been previously approved by the ZAB. Final approval on the possible rezoning would be up to the Board of Commissioners.
