Johns Creek has sworn in a mayor and three City Council members, and one councilman –Lenny Zaprowski – was elected mayor pro tem to preside at meetings when Mayor Mike Bodker is absent.

Bodker, Zaprowski (Post 1), John Bradberry (Post 3) and Stephanie Endres (Post 5) took oaths of office at the council’s Jan. 8 meeting. Bodker is in his fourth term as mayor. Zaprowski and Endres are in their second terms as council members. Bradberry is newly elected to the council, succeeding Cori Davenport, who did not seek reelection.

Zaprowski is a lifelong Atlanta area resident and served on the Johns Creek Zoning Board of Appeals prior to his election to the council in 2013, according to his council biography. He worked for the Environmental Protection Agency for three years before becoming a licensed chiropractor in 1996 and currently practices at the Chiropractic Health Center of Alpharetta.

Zaprowski has served as an usher, youth sports coach, Men’s Club member and officer with the Knights of Columbus chapter at St. Brigid Catholic Church.
