The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board recommended two rezoning requests for approval at its March 14 regular meeting.

A change from RA (residential agricultural) to RS (residential suburban) was requested for 23 acres on Willow Lane for a 44-lot subdivision extension of an adjoining property and a 56-unit townhome development directly across the road. Another applicant requested rezoning from RA to R-3 for 50 acres on Peach Drive to create a single-family residential development. Both of these approval recommendations included conditions and will be heard by the Board of Commissioners before final approval is given.

A proposal to rezoning 310 on the west side of Flippen Road from RA to MU (mixed use) was tabled at the applicant’s request.
