Officials at Young Harris College launched the school's capital campaign this week and announced a lead gift of $22 million.

The donation from the O. Wayne Rollins Foundation is the largest the school has received from a foundation, officials said. So far the college has raised $46 million of the $55 million campaign goal.

The majority of the money will be spent on a 125,000-square-foot campus center. The Rollins Campus Center will include a new library named after former Gov. Zell Miller and his wife, Shirley. Both are alumni.
