If you’re thinking of taking a nap in Cobb County on Thursday around noon, maybe don’t.

Cobb County emergency officials are testing all 70 outdoor warning sirens scattered throughout the county, according to its Facebook page.

This usually happens the first Wednesday of the month, but that’s Independence Day.

The noisy buggers will sound their clarion call for three to five minutes.
